PRIVACY POLICY

Plain-English note: we don't sell your data, we don't run ads that track you, and we don't have user accounts. This page explains what we do collect and why, so you know exactly what happens when you fill out our intake form or send us a message.

1. Who we are

3AM Tuning ("we," "us") operates 3amtuning.com and provides custom GM ECU and transmission calibration services out of Portal, Georgia. This Privacy Policy governs your use of our website and describes how we handle information you provide to us.

2. What we collect

We collect only what you voluntarily give us, and only for the purpose of providing you a calibration quote and service. We do not use analytics, tracking pixels, advertising cookies, or third-party data brokers.

Information you provide

Intake form: your name, phone number or email, vehicle year/make/model, engine, modifications, fuel type, transmission, and any notes about drivability issues or previous tuning.
Email and Facebook Messenger: whatever you include in your messages to us, and our responses.
Online checkout: if you book and pay through our checkout page, you provide your email, phone number, and vehicle details (year/make/model, engine and transmission, and whether the vehicle has been tuned before). Your card details go directly to Stripe, our payment processor — we never see or store your card number.

Information collected automatically

Server logs: our hosting provider (GitHub Pages) records standard request data — IP address, browser type, pages visited, and timestamp. We do not control or directly access these logs; they are maintained by GitHub under their own privacy policy.
Google Fonts: our site loads fonts from Google's font service. Google may receive your IP address as part of that request, in accordance with their privacy policy. No account or identity is transmitted.

3. How we use your information

To prepare and deliver a calibration quote for your specific vehicle.
To communicate with you about your service, scheduling, and revisions.
To keep records of work performed on your vehicle.
To respond to your questions and provide customer support.

We do not use your information for marketing, advertising, or profiling. We do not send newsletters or promotional emails unless you specifically ask us something and we reply.

4. Cookies and tracking

Our website does not set cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, Hotjar, Microsoft Clarity, or any other analytics or advertising tracking technology. The only third-party resource loaded on our pages is Google Fonts (see above). When you check out, you leave our site for Stripe's secure checkout page, which sets its own cookies under Stripe's privacy policy.

5. Who we share your information with

We do not sell, rent, or lease your information to anyone. We share it only when necessary to provide our service:

Stripe: our payment processor. If you check out online, Stripe receives your name, email, phone number, billing address, card details, and the vehicle information you enter at checkout, in order to take the payment and screen it for fraud. Stripe handles that data under its own privacy policy. We receive a record of the payment and the vehicle details you entered — never your full card number.
HP Tuners: if your calibration requires VIN-specific licensing or module unlock service, we transmit your vehicle identification number to HP Tuners to apply credits. This is governed by HP Tuners' terms, not ours.
Partner shops: if you book a dyno session through Myatt's Garage, we share your vehicle and scheduling information with them to coordinate the appointment.
Legal compliance: if compelled by law, court order, or government authority, we may disclose information as required.

6. How long we keep your data

We retain your intake information and service records for as long as needed to provide ongoing revision support and to maintain a record of work performed. If you ask us to delete your information, we will remove what we can while retaining any records legally required for business or tax purposes.

7. Email communications

If you email us at Joey3AM@3amtuning.com, we retain your message content and our reply as part of your service record. We do not add you to any mailing list. If you no longer wish to receive emails from us, reply to any message and ask us to stop.

8. Children's privacy

Our website and services are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child under 13, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Your rights

If you are in the European Union or United Kingdom, you have certain rights under the GDPR and UK GDPR:

The right to access the personal data we hold about you.
The right to request correction or deletion of your data.
The right to object to or restrict the processing of your data.
The right to data portability.
The right to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing that occurred before withdrawal.
The right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

If you are in California, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of any sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

10. Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information. Our website is served over HTTPS via GitHub Pages. Online payments are processed by Stripe on Stripe's own secure, PCI-compliant checkout page — card details are entered there, never on our site, and we never see or store your card number.

Email is not a fully secure medium — please do not send card numbers or other sensitive information by email. We will never ask you for card details by email, text, or Facebook message. The only place we take card payment is our own checkout page, hosted by Stripe at a stripe.com address. Anything else claiming to be us asking for payment details is not us — call before you pay.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "last updated" date above will change when we do. We will not materially reduce your privacy protections without notice on the website.
